RIP Roger Lloyd-Pack

Roger Lloyd-Pack died yesterday at the age of 69, from Pancreatic Cancer.

Mr Lloyd-Pack was a well known british actor, but to those who are fans of both Harry Potter and Doctor Who, he holds a special place in pop culture.

That’s because he played opposite David Tennant in two different mediums.

In ‘The Goblet of Fire’ he was Barty Crouch Sr., father to Tennant’s Barty Crouch Jr. Then, after Tennant took over the role of The Doctor, Mr. Lloyd-Pack appeared in the episodes ‘Rise Of the Cyberman’ and ‘The Age Of Steel’ as John Lumic, the father of the Cybermen in an alternate reality.

Roger Lloyd-Pack also appeared on an episode of ‘The Catherine Tate Show’ with, of course, Catherine Tate, (Donna Noble), an episode of ‘Doc Martin’, which also stars Ian McNeice, who you remember as Winston Churchill opposite Matt Smith’s doctor, as well as Martin Clunes himself, who was in a classic serial of Doctor Who

Aside from all that, he is best known for ‘Interview With A Vampire’, ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier’, and ‘Vanity Fair’. He also had a long running role on ‘The Vicar Of Dibley’, which also had Richard Griffiths (Harry Potter), Kylie Minogue (Doctor Who) and… some guy named Peter Capaldi, who’s name sounds familiar for some reason. I think he was in The Fires Of Pompeii with David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Karen Gillan.

Anywho, that’s my six degree tribute to Roger Lloyd-Pack, the worst dad a David Tennant could have… or is that the other way around? Hmm….

 RIP Roger Lloyd Pack
